Donald Trump: Liar In Chief!
Throughout his campaign, as President Elect, and in his first 60 days as President, Donald Trump has unrelentingly communicated (via Tweet, interview, and speeches) accusations, “facts,” statistics, and all forms of information that have no basis in reality or real fact. This trend has kept Trump’s White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer and pundits constantly on the defensive trying to justify his accusations and fantasy narratives.
His latest accusations that have made epic headlines with considerable political and even international backlash were from yet another Trump Tweet storm accusing then President Obama of having ordered wire tapping surveillance of then candidate Trump’s phones and those of Trump Tower. White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer upped the ante when he intimated that President Obama may have wire tapped candidate Trump without judicial or federal authorization by having it done by GCHQ, the British equivalent of the NSA. This was quickly condemned by not only the British government as rubbish, but was also quickly squashed by Trump’s own NSA as something that was not only untrue, but impossible under current international laws and treaties.
Trump based this latest claim on a “report” by Fox News pundit Andrew Napolitano that Fox News has publicly disavowed having no evidence to support and whose aforementioned pundit has been conspicuously absent from the network since making that unsubstantiated and clearly absurd claim. Nevertheless, the “report” was floated by the White House in a desperate attempt to justify Trump’s false wire tapping claims with the Trump administration having no qualms about causing an international incident to defend the musings of a President who will accept the statements of news pundits as fact when he has the ability to just verify with any intelligence and law enforcement entity in the nation in a moment’s notice as President.
FBI Director James Comey, The House and Senate Intelligence Comity’s, Speaker of the House Paul Ryan, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell – we could go on with this – have all decreed that Trump’s wire tapping claims are baseless and false.
This publication will go on the record as stating that beyond untruths and lies, the Trump world of “alternative facts” are not only lies, but they are reckless in their ramifications with regard to the credibility of the United States and our standing globally and domestically.
Trump lies in ways that no American politician ever has before. He has lied about — among many other things — Obama’s birthplace, John F. Kennedy’s assassination, Sept. 11, the Iraq War, ISIS, NATO, military veterans, Mexican immigrants, Muslim immigrants, anti-Semitic attacks, the unemployment rate, the murder rate, the Electoral College, voter fraud and his groping of women.
